North Co Recruitment are working with a leading SME insurer to appoint a Head of Risk Pricing, Data & Analytics on a fixed-term contract into their MGA Leadership Team. This is a senior strategic role with responsibility for pricing strategy across brands, leading the data and analytics evolution and driving commercial performance across the entire SME market during a pivotal transformation period.
This is a fixed-term contract (6-12 months) and may be subject to FCA regulation.
What you'll do
- Execute complex pricing strategies that balance growth with profitability across diverse SME target markets.
- Lead pricing and data teams, creating a high-performing, empowered culture focused on delivery and development.
- Drive technical innovation by integrating machine learning and predictive analytics into risk pricing models.
- Spearhead the data strategy, incorporating external third-party data to create competitive advantage.
- Translate technical analysis into clear, actionable commercial strategies for executive and board-level audiences.
- Manage relationships with third-party capacity providers, building confidence in strategic and commercial plans.
- Deliver directly against strategic priorities as part of the MGA Leadership Team, with high executive visibility and impact.
What we're looking for
- Strategic commercial leader with a proven track record of delivering results in complex, multi-brand environments.
- Technical expertise in predictive analytics and machine learning, particularly within insurance or financial services.
- Strong people leadership capability, with a focus on engagement, professional growth and inclusive culture.
- Excellent communication skills, able to make data-led concepts relatable and accessible to senior stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of the SME insurance market, including pricing challenges and opportunities.
- Analytical thinker comfortable building and implementing data-led decision-making frameworks at senior level.
