Software Engineer

Location: Birmingham, Hybrid (3 days onsite)

About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a growing Technology team with one of the fastest growing Legal companies in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to work on multiple projects across business functions to improve productivity and drive automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance and extend core business systems to improve performance, reliability, and operational efficiency
• Develop and maintain web-based components and integrations to support automation and streamlined workflows
• Produce clear, maintainable technical documentation
• Provide accurate high-level and detailed estimates for development work
• Manage multiple development tasks while maintaining quality and delivery momentum
• Build strong knowledge of internal and external systems to support troubleshooting and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence technical decisions and solution design

What You’ll Bring

• Strong experience with .NET / .NET Core (C#), ASP.NET Core, Web API, and Azure Functions
• Experience working with Blazor
• Solid understanding of Microsoft SQL Server, with advanced T‑SQL skills
• Ability to write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code
• Experience designing and implementing effective testing strategies
• Familiarity with code repositories and version control
• Strong experience optimising complex SQL queries for performance
• Experience using profiling and performance monitoring tools
• A strong sense of ownership and pride in delivering high‑quality work
