We’re currently recruiting a limited number of junior‑mid level experienced IT professionals to cross‑train as a Software Developer, and subsequently place at our key client for ROI. Our fantastic client is one of the biggest banks in the finance industry! Exceptionally well respected and a game‑changer for anyone’s CV. This is a phenomenal opportunity to join a large enterprise‑level corporate finance org directly and create a real impact by contributing to their plans. Post‑qualification/2 year FTC placement you’ll be prioritised for strategic project consideration.

About Your Future Duties
- Design/implement scalable, robust data pipelines to support analytics/data processing
- Understanding customer requirements and project KPIs to ensure efficiency/success
- Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
- Planning team structure/activities and involvement in project management activities.
- Managing stakeholders/external interfaces
- Setting up tools & required infrastructure
- Defining/setting development, testing, release, update, support processes for DevOps
- Reviewing, verifying, and validating the software code developed directly in project
- Utilising troubleshooting techniques, identifying and fixing any coding bugs
What we (Revolents) require
- Min 1-3 years experience in some Software Development (e.g Java, J2EE or Python)
- JDBC/Spring framework knowledge preferably work environment or from studies
- Working knowledge of Microservices, CI & unit test frameworks
- Proven knowledge of XML and related tech
- Proven experience of Quality Assurance techniques relevant to app development
- Experience of AGILE or SCRUM SDLC model, ability to work within a global team
- Adaptable, resilient, positive, professional, invested in/committed to self‑growth
About You
- Willing to commit to a min two years working with Revolent directly (then post‑training with the possibility of converting to the client’s perm headcount, following successful completion of your work IT Placement, retention not guaranteed but we’ve many alumni cases)
- Able to commute to Glasgow, Scotland (hybrid basis so ideally for 2-3 days weekly)
- Our client is prepared to be flexible for people who live further afield or have personal commitments that prevent them from commuting frequently, if right tech/culture fit!
