Senior Fund Accountant

Our client is an asset manager based in central London. A multi strategy approach. Seeking an experienced fund accountant seeking a step-up in their career. They are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Fund Accountant to take ownership of fund accounting oversight, cost governance and financial control across a diverse fund range (UCITS, Cayman, Delaware, ETF’s and other vehicles).

This is a high-impact role sitting at the centre of the business, acting as the key link between administrators, auditors, product, distribution and senior leadership.

THE ROLE

• Oversee outsourced fund accounting across all vehicles
• Review and challenge NAVs, accruals and reporting
• Maintain robust governance and consistent accounting policies

Fund Costs & Commercial Control

• Own fund budgets, expense accruals and OCF/TER oversight
• Drive cost efficiency and manage service-provider fee arrangements
• Ensure expenses remain within prospectus and commercial parameters

Fees & Revenue

• Oversee expense payments and fee drawdowns
• Ensure timely, accurate fee collection and reconciliation

Audit & Reporting

• Lead year-end and interim audits
• Review financial statements and coordinate external stakeholders

Regulatory Cost Disclosure

• Oversee cost disclosures and OCF validation
• Ensure transparency and regulatory compliance

Product & Strategic Support

• Lead finance input into fund launches and new share classes
• Set fee structures and provide fund profitability analysis

Governance & Improvement

• Enhance oversight controls and reporting
• Drive automation and process improvement
• Act as SME on fund accounting and expense governance

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong experience in fund accounting oversight within asset management
• Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• Very good understanding of UCITS and offshore fund structuresCommercial mindset with strong cost and profitability focus
• Confident stakeholder manager with audit and regulatory experience
• Detail-oriented, proactive and improvement-driven
