Marketing Director – Insurance


Location: Home‑based (UK); Travel: up to ~20% annually.


About The Team


You’ll join a dynamic, high‑performing Global Marketing organisation supporting a high‑growth, advanced analytics and technology business. The team is collaborative, commercially focused, and deeply embedded in driving measurable impact for the Insurance business.


This Role



  • Reports directly to the AVP, Marketing

  • Operates within a matrix environment, with strong collaboration across global and regional stakeholders


As Marketing Director – Insurance, you will lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies for the UK & Ireland Insurance business. You’ll be responsible for shaping go‑to‑market strategy, driving demand generation, strengthening brand presence, and delivering high‑impact content and campaigns that support revenue growth and customer retention. This is a senior, visible role requiring strong stakeholder influence, strategic thinking, and hands‑on leadership within a matrixed global organisation.


Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and execute fully integrated marketing strategies with clear objectives across awareness, demand generation, and customer retention

  • Lead and manage internal resources (2 direct reports) and external agencies to deliver campaigns across:

    • Digital and integrated campaigns

    • Advertising, search, and social

    • Email marketing, webinars, and events



  • Create compelling messaging and thought leadership content including whitepapers, eBooks, blogs, infographics, and industry insights

  • Identify and oversee participation in high‑value industry events, ensuring strong brand presence and measurable ROI

  • Oversee creative development and promotional execution in partnership with agencies, vendors, and internal teams

  • Act as a trusted marketing partner to stakeholders, influencing decision‑making and go‑to‑market priorities

  • Support product launches and acquisitions, ensuring clear and effective marketing communications

  • Manage marketing budgets and work closely with analytics teams to track, analyze, and optimize performance


Requirements



  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)

  • 7–10+ years’ experience in B2B marketing, ideally within technology, data, or analytics‑driven environments

  • Proven experience leading integrated marketing programs across digital, content, events, and demand generation

  • Strong experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g. Eloqua, Salesforce)

  • Prior people management experience (direct reports and/or matrix leadership)

  • Strong background in stakeholder management within complex, matrixed organisations

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to influence at senior levels

  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and optimize programs using data and analytics
