Junior Technical Sales Consultant (Engineering/Metrology/Lab)
Location: Market Harborough – with some travel.
Salary: £30,000‑£33,000 + Car Allowance + Commission + Flexible Working + Progression + Company Benefits.
Do you have Technical Sales experience with Lab / Engineering / Metrology knowledge? On offer is a varied role offering a chance to upskill yourself to become a specialist in a bespoke product range within a growing company known for looking after staff and providing a platform for continual career progression.
This well‑established company supplies specialist industrial furnaces and associated equipment for a broad client base – primarily research companies and universities – but also sells to manufacturing and pharmaceutical clients. They aim to increase turnover by 50% in the next 12 months and are expanding their technical sales team to support this growth.
In this varied role you will receive initial training from senior team members, and once trained be one of the go‑to sales people in the business. You will be responsible for business development, account management and providing technical product and project support for a broad client base. The role is office‑based with regular travel to meet customers.
The dynamic role is ideal for someone from a Technical Sales background with experience in Lab, R&D, Engineering, Metrology, or Research Equipment who is looking for specialist training and the chance to progress to senior roles.
The Role
- Sell specialist products, bespoke industrial furnaces and ovens – training provided.
- Provide support for clients and discuss technical issues.
- Upsell to existing accounts and win new business.
- Office based with regular travel to meet customers and carry out quotations.
