The Company:

Our client is a fast-growing SaaS and advisory business supporting organisations across a wide range of industries.

With a rapidly expanding customer base and significant year-on-year growth, the business has established itself as a trusted partner in the public sector space. Operating from their South West headquarters, they combine innovative technology with expert advisory services to deliver measurable results for their clients.

Following a period of sustained growth, they are now looking to expand their commercial team with the addition of a Business Development Manager.

The Role:

As a Business Development Manager, you will take ownership of the full customer acquisition lifecycle, from identifying and engaging new prospects through to closing deals and generating revenue.

This is a highly proactive, front-line sales role where you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities through outbound and inbound activity. You will engage with prospective clients, understand their needs, and position tailored solutions that support their success through our clients SaaS solutions.

There is also a clear progression pathway into a senior role, with the opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and generate new business opportunities via phone, email, and LinkedIn
  • Conduct discovery calls, product demonstrations, and sales meetings
  • Manage prospects through trial and conversion stages
  • Prepare proposals and manage contracts through to close
  • Deliver against monthly revenue targets and KPIs
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline management
  • Build strong relationships with prospective clients and stakeholders
  • Support and mentor junior team members where required

Person Specification:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a business development or sales role
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and KPIs
  • Strong communication skills across phone, video, and email
  • Experience using CRM systems
  • Highly self-motivated with a proactive and results-driven approach
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Experience selling SaaS solutions
  • Exposure to the public sector
  • Background in consultancy or advisory services
  • Familiarity with HubSpot
