Job Description

Control Assurance and Risk Management

• Perform monthly Control Assurance Testing (CAT) across all assigned business areas, ensuring 100%

completion within agreed timelines and to the standard required by Internal Audit and the Risk function.

• Produce detailed, evidenced CAT reports that provide senior management with a clear assessment of

each team's control performance, including identification of control weaknesses, root cause analysis,

and recommended remediation actions.

• Support the Head of Operational Risk in the preparation of the monthly Enterprise-Wide Risk

Management Committee (EWRMC) pack, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.

• Maintain and update the Bank's Operational Risk Event (ORE) log; escalate any material risk events to

the Middle Office Manager and Operational Risk function within 24 hours of identification.

• Identify, document, and escalate emerging operational risks across Middle Office workflows; maintain

a risk register of identified issues and track remediation to closure.

• Act as First Line of Defence by embedding risk awareness and control discipline into all day-to-day

Middle Office activities.

Trade Processing and Lifecycle Management

• Track, validate, and process all non-Straight-Through Processing (non-STP) trades booked by the

Front Office across all asset classes (FX, fixed income, money markets, term loans).

• Manage the complete trade lifecycle from booking confirmation through to settlement, ensuring

accuracy at each stage and timely escalation of any exceptions or breaks.

• Perform pre-settlement trade matching and confirmation, coordinating with counterparties and

custodians to resolve discrepancies prior to value date.

• Maintain accurate trade records within the Bank's core banking and trading systems, ensuring all

amendments, cancellations, and novations are processed and documented correctly.

• Coordinate with the Front Office, Back Office, and Finance to resolve any trade booking errors,

ensuring the P&L impact of corrections is identified and communicated promptly.

Bond, Coupon, and Principal Settlements

• Manage the end-to-end settlement of all Treasury bond, coupon, and principal payments, ensuring

100% of due payments are accurately identified and communicated to the custodian at least one

business day before value date.

• Maintain the settlements diary for all bond maturities; produce and distribute the Live Bond Settlement

Report daily to relevant stakeholders.

• Perform reconciliation of expected versus actual settlement receipts, identifying and escalating failed

or delayed settlements on the day of occurrence.

• Use reconciliation tools and periodic data checks to maintain accuracy and identify discrepancies

requiring resolution before settlement deadline.

FX Rate Maintenance

• Update start-of-day and end-of-day FX rates daily by 16:30 to support next-business-day processing

across all relevant departments; ensure rates are sourced from approved market data providers.

• Maintain a rate update log as an auditable record of all daily FX rate changes; ensure any

discrepancies between the Bank's rates and market rates are escalated immediately.

• Coordinate with Finance and the Front Office to ensure consistent and approved FX rate application

across all internal systems and intercompany transactions.

Nostro Reconciliation

• Perform daily Nostro account reconciliation across all of the Bank's Nostro accounts, identifying
