Job Description:

Tezlom is currently recruiting for a Team Leader to join our Mental Health Recovery Home. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting individualswith mental health conditions to achieve recovery, independence, and improved quality of life. As a Team Leader, you will lead and support a team of care staff, ensuring that residents receive high-quality, person-centred care in a safe and supportive environment. You will also work closely with healthcare professionals, families, and other agencies to ensure the best outcomes for residents

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and support care staff during shifts
  • Ensure the delivery of person-centred, recovery-focused care
  • Support residents with daily living activities and recovery goals
  • Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and accurate documentation
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and care standards
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and supervision to staff members
  • Act as a point of contact for residents, families, and professionals
  • Support the Home Manager in maintaining high standards of care

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
  • Previous experience in a mental health or residential care setting
  • Experience supervising or leading care staff
  • Good understanding of mental health recovery approaches and safeguarding
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, nights, or weekends if required

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 4/5 in Health & Social Care or Leadership & Management
  • Experience working within a mental health recovery or supported living service
  • Knowledge of CQC standards and care regulations
