Lead Electrical Engineer

Commercial Building | Charing Cross, Central London

Salary: 50,000 + Benefits

Monday – Friday | 08:00 – 17:00

Alice Rose Recruitment is working with a well-established M&E services provider to recruit a Lead Electrical Engineer for a flagship commercial site in Charing Cross.

This is a key leadership role, ideal for a senior electrical engineer looking to step up or an experienced lead engineer seeking a stable, long-term position within a professional and well-supported environment.

You will take ownership of the site’s electrical and building services maintenance, leading a small on-site team and managing specialist contractors to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

Lead Electrical Engineer Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across all building services
  • Supervise and support the on-site engineer (3 days per week) and coordinate specialist subcontractors
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, health & safety standards, and company procedures
  • Monitor and manage service level agreements (SLAs) to maintain high service delivery standards
  • Oversee maintenance programmes in line with SFG20 standards
  • Maintain accurate logbooks, records, and compliance documentation
  • Act as the primary point of contact for technical issues and site operations

Lead Electrical Engineer Requirements:

  • City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within commercial building services
  • Strong understanding of M&E systems and compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to lead engineers and manage contractors
  • Right to work in the UK
