Job Description:
Our client, operating within the chemical manufacturing sector, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to support ongoing maintenance and plant reliability activities. Responsibilities:
- Planned and reactive maintenance on pumps, compressors, valves and rotating machinery
- Mechanical fault diagnosis and repair
- Installation of new plant equipment
- Compliance with strict health and safety procedures
- Accurate documentation of maintenance work
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering or time-served apprenticeship
- Experience within chemical, petrochemical or regulated process industries
- Strong understanding of pneumatic systems
- Proven fault-finding ability
- Knowledge of permit-to-work systems
