Stanford Real Estate Partners are working with a leading real estate and asset management business to hire a Financial Planning Analyst. This Financial Planning Analyst role sits at the center of commercial decision making; shaping budgets, forecasts, investment cases and performance insight across a diverse portfolio. Salary offered is £55,000 to £65,000 + bonus + benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning Analyst will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting and financial planning cycles across business units/asset portfolios.
  • Provide clear and insightful analysis on performance trends, variances, risks and opportunities.
  • Build and enhance financial models to support scenario planning, investment decisions and business cases.
  • Prepare monthly MI packs, board reporting, dashboard analysis and KPI performance reports.
  • Partner with asset managers, development and operations teams to align financial outlook with commercial strategies.
  • Analysis of cashflow, P&L and balance sheet impact of business decisions, investment initiatives and operational changes.
  • Support annual planning, strategic reviews, capex evaluations and corporate planning cycles.
  • Drive improvements in forecasting accuracy, reporting efficiency and data quality.
  • Support the evolution of BI tools and financial systems

Required Experience

  • Qualified/Finalist accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong FP&A background in a data‑driven finance role.
  • Experience in real estate, asset management, property development, private equity or another investment‑led environment preferred.
  • The Financial Planning Analyst will have strong financial modelling and Excel skills, able to build and maintain robust analytical models.
  • Solid grasp of budgeting, forecasting, reporting and commercial analysis.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets, BI dashboards and financial systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior & non‑finance stakeholders.
  • Commercially minded, analytical and proactive with strong attention to detail.
