Head of Clinical Services

The Opportunity:

We’re supporting one of our clients in recruiting an experienced Head of Clinical Services for a Neurological Centre, a specialist 60 bed service supporting adults with complex neurological conditions (currently 45 residents).

This is a 12-month interim maternity cover.

This is a genuinely impactful leadership role where you can step in and take ownership from day one.

You will:

• Lead and inspire multidisciplinary clinical teams (nursing, AHPs, medical staff)
• Drive clinical governance, quality improvement, and risk management
• Oversee audits, incident management, and continuous improvement processes
• Deputise for the Service Director when required
• Maintain and improve CQC standards and clinical performance

About You:

We’re looking for someone operating at Matron / Senior Clinical Leadership level who thrives in complex environments.

You will have:

• Extensive leadership experience within healthcare (NHS or private)
• Strong background in clinical governance and quality improvement
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple departments
• In-depth understanding of CQC standards and healthcare legislation
• Proven ability to drive performance and lead change

Flexible shifts:

• 8am – 4pm
• 9am – 5pm
• 10am – 6pm

On-call: 1 in 3 weekends
