We are seeking an experienced, fully qualified Audit Manager (ACA/ACCA or equivalent). You will be joining a modern and vibrant firm with ambitious growth plans and excellence in client delivery.

This is a key role within the Audit department, suited to someone who can confidently manage a varied and sizeable portfolio of clients whilst supporting the continued development of junior and part qualified team members. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and comfortable leading assignments from planning through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver audits across a mixed and diverse portfolio, ensuring high‑quality service and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Lead audit planning, including risk assessment, scope setting, and resource allocation.
  • Delegate and supervise work assignments, ensuring tasks are completed within agreed budgets and timeframes.
  • Review audit files, identifying issues early and providing clear guidance to staff.
  • Handle client queries and act as a key point of contact throughout the audit cycle.
  • Conduct staff appraisals, providing constructive feedback and contributing to performance assessments.
  • Mentor, coach, and support junior team members, promoting technical development and professional growth.
  • Maintain strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS standards, and audit requirements.
  • Contribute to process improvements and uphold best practices within the audit function.

About You

  • Must be fully qualified ACA or ACCA or equivalent.
  • Must have full UK working rights
  • Strong and recent audit experience gained within practice, ideally managing a mixed client corporate portfolio.
  • Proven ability to plan, organise, and deliver audits within set budget and deadlines.
  • Confident in delegating and reviewing work and providing clear feedback.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with both clients and colleagues.
  • A team player with a commitment to high standards and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with partners.
