Technical Project Manager

Hybrid Working – Telford/Birmingham/Midlands – 2 days a week on site.

Lorien’s leading Asset Management Client is seeking a hands‑on Project Manager contractor to support the Programme during its Separation phase, coordinating deliveries impacting Retirement Solutions & Asset Management (RS&AM).

The role focuses on protecting live services while delivering end‑user computing (Citrix VDI to Group IT desktop), access management, and SFTP / MoveIT migrations, working closely with BD&O, Asset Management, Investment Operations, Group IT and Programme teams.

The Project Manager will work with RS&AM business champions aligned to persona groupings to manage delivery, readiness and acceptance into business areas. The role supports TSA/RTSA exit through RS&AM readiness and acceptance, rather than contractual management.

This role is based in Telford/Birmingham/Midlands.

This role will be Via Umbrella.

Working in a Hybrid Model of 2 days a week on site.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Proven Project Management experience within large‑scale technology, separation, or transformation programmes
  • Strong technical understanding of:
    • End‑User Computing / VDI environments
    • Access management and identity controls
    • SFTP / file transfer and system integration patterns
  • Experience working closely with operational business teams to protect live services
  • Strong dependency, risk, and stakeholder management capability
  • Comfortable operating in complex, multi‑supplier delivery environments
