Location: Taunton (Hybrid – 2-3 days onsite) Organisation: Somerset Contract: 12 Months (Interim)⏱️ Hours: 37 per week

- £28.56 per hour (PAYE)
- £39.60 per hour (Umbrella)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Interim HR Operations Manager to lead and strengthen HR operational delivery, with a particular focus on Pay & Reward during a period of transformation. This role will ensure high-quality day-to-day service while driving improvements across processes, systems, and governance, and supporting the delivery of a wider Total Pay & Reward Programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior oversight across HR Operations and support service delivery and prioritisation
- Lead improvements to streamline processes and enhance consistency and efficiency
- Manage and develop the Pay & Reward team and oversee job evaluation activity
- Maintain reward frameworks, benefits, and recognition approaches
- Ensure effective establishment control, governance, and reporting
- Provide expert advice on reward, organisational change, and complex HR matters
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, HR colleagues, and Trade Unions
- Support transformation and modernisation of HR services
About You
- Strong experience in Pay & Reward or HR Operations
- Proven expertise in job evaluation frameworks
- Experience leading HR projects or service improvements
- Ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders
- Experience managing and developing teams
- CIPD qualified (or equivalent) desirable
- Public sector or complex organisation experience desirable
