Contract: 12-13 months FTC Start dates are usually in June/July
Hybrid working: We want you to get the best out of your placement, so we operate a hybrid policy where undergraduates work in the office 3 days per week. There may be times where you will need to be in more frequently depending on the needs of the business.
To apply for our undergraduate placement scheme, you must be studying for an undergraduate degree that requires a placement year. Master’s students are not eligible for this placement.

We have the opportunity for a Customer Operations Executive Undergraduate to join our Fleet team. Volkswagen Financial Services Fleet manage a portfolio of multi-marque vehicles leased on Contract Hire to Corporate fleet customers. Customers are segmented as A+ ‘Strategic’ or A-E based on their fleet size. Every customer is important to us and crucial to our success. What will you be doing?
- Play a key role in winning new business by generating quotations, preparing polished sales proposals, and processing signed orders. You’ll work within clear service level agreements, helping us secure and retain important Fleet clients.
- Join account managers on real client site visits, where you’ll see how we build relationships first‑hand. You’ll showcase the value of our sales support and confidently respond to client questions.
- Make a real impact on our corporate customer experience. You’ll support day‑to‑day customer management and then analyse our service to identify what’s working well and where we can improve. Your ideas will help us shape a better customer journey.
- Help keep our fleet running smoothly by ensuring contracts are extended and vehicles are booked in for inspections or collections at the right time.
- Drive meaningful process improvements by reviewing how we work, spotting opportunities to streamline operations, and supporting the development and delivery of training for new projects or process updates.
What are we looking for?
- Well-developed communication skills – verbal and written
- Self-motivated, ability to work on own and as part of a team
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to use own initiative through creative thinking, problem solving and critical analysis
- The ability to work under pressure to meet demanding deadlines
- Demonstrate high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Advanced PC literacy – Microsoft office skills especially Excel for reporting requirements

What our recruitment process looks like:
- Apply and upload your CV, covering letter and answer a few application questions.
- You’ll be invited to complete a Situational Judgement Test. This is a short multiple-choice question set to help us understand how you may approach situations.
- If you pass this stage, you will be invited to complete an online video interview where you will have the opportunity to tell us more about yourself.
- If successful, your last step in the journey is to attend an in-person Assessment Centre at our Milton Keynes office. You’ll also meet some of our managers and our current undergraduates to find out more about a placement year with us.
Please note: Our undergraduate placement roles do not meet the UKVI’s criteria for the skilled worker sponsorship route, therefore we are unable to accept candidates requiring sponsorship for this role.
