an exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and knowledgeable Gallery Manager to lead Cornish Masters in St Ives; a respected commercial gallery specialising in works from the Newlyn School and St Ives Modernist movement.
we are seeking a confident and personable individual with proven sales ability, curatorial awareness, and a genuine passion for art. A strong knowledge of the Newlyn School and St Ives Modernist artists is highly desirable; however, for the right candidate, this may further developed in post. Above all, applicants should demonstrate a serious interest in art history, particularly Cornwall’s rich artistic heritage.
KEY RESPONSIBLITTIES:
-managing the day to day running of the gallery
-engaging walk-in visitors and hosting private viewing
– driving sales and building client relationships
– assisting the curation and exhibition planning
-maintaining social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns
-producing written content for marketing and promotional materials
