Better places, thriving communities. We are looking for an experienced Engineer to work as a member of the Mitie Fire & Security Systems Operations Field service team. You'll ensure effective delivery of PPM, Reactive calls and additional Small Works, ensuring compliance with all Legal and Regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of Fire alarms, CCTV, Access control, and Intruder alarm equipment to relevant legislative and qualitative standards.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and records in a timely manner.
- Conduct fault‑finding techniques and service tests according to relevant standards/codes.
- Attend and participate in company‑initiated training to maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge.
- Work to high levels of Health and Safety requirements and follow Health and Safety legislation.
- Provide excellent communication skills, basic Microsoft Word and Excel literacy.
Qualifications
- Previous experience carrying out PPM, reactive calls and Small Works in the Fire & Security Systems industry.
- Experience with accident reporting, RAMS and following Health and Safety legislation.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Technical and problem‑solving abilities.
