Pre‑School Room Leader – YeovilPermanent | Full Time | £12.96 per hour

Prospero Teaching is working in partnership with a welcoming and well‑established nursery in Yeovil, who are looking to appoint an experienced and passionate Pre‑School Room Leader on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early years professional who is ready to take the next step in their career and lead a Pre‑School room within a supportive and nurturing setting.

Role Details

• Position: Pre‑School Room Leader
• Location: Yeovil
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
• Pay: £12.96 per hour
• Contract: Permanent, full‑time

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day‑to‑day running of the Pre‑School room
• Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
• Support and mentor team members, promoting best practice at all times
• Monitor children’s development and maintain accurate observations and assessments
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
• Build positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues
• Ensure all safeguarding, health & safety and nursery policies are followed

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
• Previous experience working within a Pre‑School or early years setting
• Experience in a leadership or senior role (or be ready to step up)
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
• Enchanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
