Senior Architectural Technologist

Location: Chelmsford

Salary: £44-48,000

A well-established architectural practice in Chelmsford is looking to appoint a Senior Architectural Technician to support the delivery of large-scale residential and mixed-use schemes. This is a senior-level role within a growing technical team, offering the opportunity to take ownership of projects from post-planning through to construction while working closely with developers, consultants and internal design teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Production of detailed technical and construction drawing packages
• Coordination with consultants and external stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations and planning requirements
• Technical delivery of projects across RIBA stages 4-6
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members
• Liaising directly with clients and project teams

Requirements

• Degree or HNC/HND in Architectural Technology or similar
• Significant experience within a UK architectural practice
• Strong background in residential projects, ideally developer-led schemes
• Excellent knowledge of UK Building Regulations
• Proficiency in AutoCADStrong technical detailing and problem-solving skills
• Confident communicator with a collaborative approach
