Repairs Planner (Social Housing)
Location: Kingston upon ThamesSalary: £28,000 per annum
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Repairs Planner to join a well-established organisation within the social housing sector. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in scheduling and coordination who is looking to further develop their career in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
The Role
As a Repairs Planner, you will play a key role in coordinating maintenance and repair works, ensuring that operatives are effectively scheduled and that all jobs are completed within agreed service levels. You will act as a central point of contact between tenants, operatives, and internal teams, delivering a high standard of customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Scheduling and planning repairs and maintenance works for operatives
- Managing diaries to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency
- Handling inbound and outbound calls from tenants, contractors, and internal teams
- Prioritising emergency and urgent repair requests
- Monitoring job progress and ensuring works are completed within SLAsLiaising with operatives and subcontractors to resolve scheduling issues
- Updating systems accurately with job status, notes, and outcomes
- Delivering excellent customer service and managing tenant expectations
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a repairs planning or scheduling role within social housing is essential
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience using scheduling systems and housing management software
- A proactive and problem-solving approach
