STADA UK Thornton & Ross – Quality Assurance Officer

Huddersfield | U.K. | Full-time | Permanent

The Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for supporting production and QPs through the preparation and review of critical batch documentation.

Reporting to the Head of Quality Operations, the QA Officer plays a vital role in supporting the Senior QA Officer in coordinating batch release priorities across various functions to meet organisational needs. This includes a strong emphasis on the review of batch records; a key responsibility in ensuring product quality and compliance.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Review of Batch Records: Conduct thorough batch review activities for our licensed medicines, medical devices, and cosmetics products, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and compliant with current regulatory standards.
  • Good Manufacturing Practices: Applying GMP and associated standards (ISO 13485 / EudraLex / MHRA Orange Guide) in daily operations.
  • Customer Complaints: Support the Senior QA Officer in conducting customer complaint associated batch-related investigations.
  • Documentation: Create and update batch certificates, ensuring all records are maintained to the highest standard.
  • Resource Management: Work to an agreed program of priorities, provide regular feedback and progress reports, and proactively manage resources to meet deadlines.

What We Are Looking For:

Demonstrable experience in a range of aspects of Quality Assurance within the pharmaceutical and / or medical devices manufacturing sector.

Strong working knowledge of GMP environments.

Proficiency in using Quality Management Systems such as SAP, MasterControl, QPulse, or other eQMS/eDMS systems.

Communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and in writing.

Maintain strong working relationships across all required functions.

Demonstrate the ability to identify and resolve issues as needed.

Be self-organised and able to manage workload with minimal supervision.
