We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join our team at Portsmouth.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day delivery of infrastructure and M&E-related construction works
- Coordinate subcontractors delivering mechanical installations, steelwork, plant installations and associated building works
- Oversee site activities including lifting operations, plant installation and structural modifications
- Review engineering drawings, mechanical layouts and installation sequences
- Manage site logistics in a live operational dockyard environment
- Ensure all works comply with H&S regulations, permits and operational constraints
- Prepare and review RAMS, lift plans and site safety documentationMonitor programme progress and coordinate multiple trades
- Maintain accurate site records including site diaries and progress reports
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, consultants and the client team
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on industrial, infrastructure or M&E projects
- Experience managing plant installations, mechanical works or heavy infrastructure
- Experience working in operational facilities or live environments
- Understanding of mechanical services, plant installations or industrial construction
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Competent in maths and IT skills relevant to site management.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certificate.
- CSCS (Managers card preferred)
- First Aid at Work, Temporary Works and Appointed Person / Lift Supervisor Certification desirable
- Ability to pass Drugs & Alcohol (D&A) testing and BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) vetting.
- First Aid at Work desirable
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK
