Location: South Coast (Hybrid)

Contract: 6-12 Months

We are supporting a Defence client looking for a DV Cleared Software Engineerto deliver secure, high-performance applications within mission-critical programmes.

The Role

You will design, develop, and maintain software solutions across secure environments, contributing to the delivery of critical digital capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain secure software applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps and QA
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement
• Support integration and deployment pipelines
• Ensure security and performance standards are met

Key Requirements

• Active DV Clearance (essential)
• Strong experience in software development (e.g. Java, Python, C#)
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Knowledge of API development and microservices
• Experience with version control (Git)
• Understanding of secure coding practices

Desirable

• Experience in Defence or secure government environments
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
