About the RoleWe are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join a market leading, dynamic SME group. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role within a growing business, supporting financial performance and influencing decision-making across multiple operating units.Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and continuous improvement across finance processes. You’ll also have the opportunity to supervise and develop team members, making this a great step for someone looking to progress their career.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and fixed asset registerLead the month-end close process, including journals, accruals, and variance analysisDeliver meaningful financial insights, including sales and profitability analysis across divisions, brands, and projectsSupport budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planningManage and monitor stock across multiple locations, supporting stock takes and reconciliationCollaborate with stakeholders across the business, translating financial data into actionable insightEnsure compliance with CIS and IR35 regulationsSupport year-end processes, including audit preparation and reporting packsDrive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and reportingSupervise and support the development of junior team membersAbout YouWe’re looking for someone who combines strong technical skills with a proactive, commercial mindset.You will ideally have:
Later stages studier or newly qualified ACCA/CIMA Accountant or be a strong qualified by experienceStrong Excel skills and confidence working with ERP SystemsExcellent analytical ability with a keen eye for detailExperience producing management accounts and financial analysisThe ability to communicate clearly with both finance and non-finance stakeholdersStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesA proactive approach and a desire to improve processesWhy join the them?
