About the role:
As Senior Construction Underwriter, you’ll play a strategic role in expanding Zurich’s mid-market retail portfolio. You’ll take the lead in identifying and securing new business opportunities, leveraging your expertise to underwrite complex construction risks and shape Zurich’s reputation as a market leader.

How you’ll make an impact:
- Proactively seek out and win new business in the construction sector, helping Zurich grow its market share.
- Lead the underwriting of high-value, complex construction risks across retail portfolios.
- Build and nurture relationships with brokers, clients, and partners to unlock new opportunities and deliver client-focused solutions.
- Stay ahead of market trends and regulatory changes, using your insights to inform agile, forward-thinking strategies.
- You will play a key role in supporting the wider regional team by fostering growth through coaching and development, encouraging collaboration, and driving commercial success.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in underwriting construction risks.
- Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and spot business potential.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a talent for building market relationships.
- A proactive, commercially minded approach focused on business growth and client success.
