We are working with a global asset management firm that manages capital on behalf of large institutional and insurance clients across multiple asset classes, including commercial real estate debt and equity.

This is a fully in-house asset management role, sitting directly within the investment platform of the firm. They can offer you:

About you

  • 2-4 years of real estate finance experience gained at a bank or alternate lender
  • Degree-level education (or equivalent); industry certifications a plus
  • Solid understanding of real estate fundamentals
  • Strong analytical and cash-flow modelling skills
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing with senior stakeholders
  • A collaborative, detail-oriented, and accountable mindset

The role

You will manage a portfolio of commercial real estate loans, taking responsibility for asset performance throughout the life of the investment. Working closely with borrowers, advisors, and internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in protecting and enhancing value.

Key responsibilities include:

  • End-to-end management of a CRE loan portfolio
  • Review and interpretation of loan documentation
  • Engagement, review, and approval of third-party valuations
  • Analysis and negotiation of loan modifications and waiver requests
  • Preparation of recommendations for internal approval forums and investment committees
  • Review and approval of consent and loan utilisation requests
  • Quarterly asset reviews, including expected loss modelling
  • Input into underwriting assumptions for new lending activity
  • Market and sector research, including preparation of white papers and presentations
  • Monitoring primary and secondary market trends
  • Ongoing interaction with borrowers, servicers, legal counsel, valuers, and other advisors
  • Day-to-day oversight and direction of an offshore analyst team
  • Contribution to technology and infrastructure initiatives supporting the platform
