About this job
The Specialty Doctor for the West EIP Team will be committed to working with young people with mental ill health and neurodevelopmental conditions and provide a central role within an MDT, delivering psychiatric assessment and treatment for a caseload of patients and their families.
The post holder will also contribute to providing psychiatric and medical risk management.
Based at The Finch Hub, 2 Finch Rd, Lozells, Birmingham B19 1HS, the post holder will provide direct psychiatric services through clinical assessment, diagnosis, care and risk management plans, treatment formulation, prescribing and implementation of evidence-based interventions.
You will hold a caseload of patients and review them at a frequency according to their clinical need and risks, working alongside consultants and the multi-disciplinary team.
You will also participate in formulating and implementing appropriate care plans around the physical healthcare needs of service users and provide mental health assessments for both new referrals and open cases.
