About the Role – Deputy Manager (Nursing Home)
As Deputy Nursing Home Manager, you will support the Home Manager in the day-to-day management of the care home, ensuring high standards of clinical care, CQC compliance, and staff leadership.
You will play a key role in delivering safe, effective, and person-centred elderly care, while also supporting the development and performance of the care team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management of the nursing home in Christchurch
- Lead shifts and act as Manager on Duty when required
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and standards
- Oversee clinical governance, audits, and medication management
- Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing and care staff
- Promote person-centred care and positive resident outcomes
- Support occupancy, quality, and overall service performance
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN (essential)
- Experience in a nursing home, elderly care, or care home setting
- Previous experience as Senior Nurse, Clinical Lead, or Deputy Manager
- Strong understanding of CQC, safeguarding, and clinical standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
