Construkt RS is working with a well established and respected fire and security provider who operates in the Home Counties and Greater London.

They are looking for a Security Service Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis and offer a great service to clients across the counties.

Salary

Salary depends on experience, ranging from £35,000 – £40,000, plus door-to-door travel and overtime.

Experience and Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience.

• Experience in networkable security systems: port forwarding, managing IP conflicts, and remote dial‑in connections.

• Familiarity with intruder alarm systems and network IP CCTV systems.

Job Description

• Service and install Intruder Alarms, CCTV, and Access Control Systems.

• Troubleshoot and fault‑find these systems, and if the occasion arises, install electronic security systems at customers’ premises.

• Complete all paperwork in accordance with appropriate British Standards.

Equipment and Systems

Expect the candidate to have experience or familiarity with:

  • Intruder: Eaton Range, Pyronix, AJAX, Honeywell – Galaxy, Texecom, Mobile Apps.
  • CCTV: Hikvision IP / TVI, Concept Pro, Hanwha, AXIS, Pelco, DM, Adpro, Optex, RVR Solutions.
  • Access Control: ACT, Paxton Net 2 & 10, Hikvision, Salto.
  • Door Entry: BPT, Paxton, Fermax, Videx – IP and Analogue.
  • External Lighting: GJD, GUI.
  • Monitoring Standards: Hikvision Central, Cortech, Paxton RedCARE, DualCom, ARC / RVR, GSM, NSI Awareness.

Hours of Work

• Forty hours per week, commencing at 08:30 with a half‑hour lunch break (unpaid) taken between 12:00 and 14:00.

• Expected to arrive at customer sites at 08:30 and not leave before 17:00 unless arrangements are made.

• May be required to work additional hours to meet business needs. Non‑call out overtime is paid at the following rates:

  • Monday – Friday: 1.33 times basic rate.
  • Saturday: 1.5 times basic rate.
  • Sunday: 2 times basic rate.
