Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled OLE Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the installation, maintenance, and optimisation of overhead line equipment (OLE) systems. This role requires a strong mechanical and electrical background, with practical experience in using various tools and machinery. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of our infrastructure projects.ResponsibilitiesAssist with the installation, inspection, and maintenance of overhead line equipment (OLE) systems.Operate heavy machinery such as excavators to facilitate construction and repair activities.Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly, repair, and modification tasks.Perform welding tasks as required to ensure structural integrity of overhead lines.Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues with electrical components and mechanical structures.Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems promptly.Support electrical tasks including wiring, grounding, and system testing under supervision.Ensure all work complies with safety standards and organisational policies.Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used.QualificationsProven experience working with excavators, welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools.Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of electrical systems related to overhead line equipment.Previous experience in electrical or mechanical engineering roles is preferred.Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.Good organisational skills with attention to detail.Relevant certifications or training in electrical work, welding, or heavy machinery operation are advantageous.Ability to work safely in high-risk environments and adhere strictly to health & safety regulations.
