Production Manager

The role involves leading operational activities in specific areas and during designated shifts. This will be accomplished by effectively managing and continuously developing available resources to meet performance KPIs, while emphasising the People, Performance, and Profit ideology. To succeed in this position, the candidate must possess a strong character, a set of transferable values, and a “can-do” attitude, which will be demonstrated through a spirit of teamwork

Responsibilities

• People – to maintain a continuous succession plan to help the business secure future business ventures. Effectively lead people by both example and through training, development and coaching. Not afraid to challenge and make difficult decisions when needed. Lead and share the company vision and values. Recognise our people with reward and appreciation when a good idea or initiative comes through. Create and sustain an environment of being present, available, empathetic, with a willingness to listen and act on employee concerns.
• Performance – be “obsessed” with performance, continuously demonstrating to staff the importance of a ” can do” attitude and “one team” approach, planning improvements and executing them. Analyse performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
• Profit – constantly review KPI’s and be on the lookout for improvements and take action on them. Report weekly on initiatives, challenges, solutions and completion dates.
• Work closely with the Stock Control and Scheduling Team to deliver the most efficient daily production plan.
• Safety – lead on a safety culture, role modelling safe practices.
• Quality – be a custodian of quality standards and cascade this approach to others.
• Continuous improvement – being able to identify improvements, plan and execute implementation, build reports and confidentially present to the senior Team.
• Communication – clearly communicate in both verbal and written methods. Being confident and effective in leading meetings and speechmaking.

Working Hours

Tuesday to Thursday 13:35 – 23:00

Friday 13:45 – 21:45

Saturday 08:45- 18:00
