Environmental Analyst – Water Quality
Location: North Wales
Salary: £19.54 p/hour, 37 hours a week, Monday-Friday
Employment Type: Temporary – 2 months, hybrid working
About the Role
We’re looking for a scientifically minded, analytical thinker to join our public sector client based in Wales as an Environmental Analyst. This role is perfect for someone with a background in marine science, biology, ecology, environmental science, or geography – whether you’re a recent graduate or hold a Master’s/PhD.
You’ll play a key part in analysing environmental datasets, reviewing water quality reports, and determining the most appropriate outcomes or recommendations based on evidence-based research.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Analysing complex environmental and water quality datasets
- Reading, interpreting, and drawing conclusions from water quality reports
- Conducting research to validate findings and ensure accuracy
- Providing clear, logical recommendations based on scientific evidence
- Working closely with internal teams to communicate outcomes and support decision-making
- Ensuring all work meets regulatory and environmental standards
What We’re Looking For
- A degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) in Marine Science, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Geography or a related discipline
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
- Confident in interpreting scientific data and reports
- Ability to think clearly and logically under pressure
- Comfortable making well‑reasoned decisions backed by sound research
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Curious, methodical, and committed to producing accurate, high‑quality work
