Lift Engineer

The Opportunity

A respected engineering consultancy is expanding their Vertical Transportation team and seeking a Senior VT Engineer to support major projects, including high‑rise residential schemes.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop vertical transportation design concepts for diverse building types
• Calculate lift numbers, sizes, speeds and performance
• Carry out site surveys and produce technical reports
• Prepare specifications, drawings and contract documents
• Collaborate with MEP teams across project stages
• Attend design and coordination meetings
• Support commissioning activities
• Progression into management and business development

Key Skills & Experience

• Degree/HNC in Engineering or related discipline
• Proven vertical transportation design experience
• Strong lift traffic analysis capability
• Competent with engineering calculations and relevant software
• Excellent communication and stakeholder skills
• Experience with ETAP/ERACS/Power Factory/Amtech HV beneficial
• Revit experience advantageous but not essential
