Senior Process Engineer
Location: London
We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join the technical team of a rapidly scaling sustainable fuels company. You will play a key role in the design and delivery of hydrogen production projects, supporting the development and execution of plants that are central to the UK’s energy transition.
Key responsibilities
• Lead process engineering input into hydrogen projects from concept through FEED and into execution
• Prepare, review, and approve process deliverables, including PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances, and equipment specifications
• Support optimisation of designs to ensure cost-effectiveness, operability, and compliance with safety standards
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, and other safety and design reviews
• Provide technical support to project teams during procurement, construction, and commissioning
• Work closely with EPC contractors, OEMs, and other stakeholders to ensure process integrity and delivery to schedule
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building the company’s process engineering capability
What we are looking for
• Degree in chemical engineering or related discipline
• Experience in hydrogen production, electrolysis, or relevant process industries such as oil and gas or industrial gases
• Solid knowledge of process safety and design standards
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment with evolving requirements
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
