Job Title: Quality Assurance Team Leader / Supervisor – Food Manufacturing

Location: B10 , Birmingham

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 / Negotiable

Contract: Full-Time / Permanent

We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor / Team Leader to lead our QA team, maintain compliance with regulatory and customer standards, and drive continuous improvement across our site. This is a key role in promoting a quality-first culture and ensuring all products meet our exacting standards.

What You’ll Do:

  • Supervise and coach the QA team to ensure consistent high-quality output.
  • Lead investigations into non-conformances and implement corrective actions (CAPA).
  • Perform root cause analysis using FMEA, 5 Whys, and Fishbone diagrams.
  • Conduct risk assessments and monitor raw materials, packaging, and production.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal, customer, and third-party audits.
  • Drive process improvements to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and enhance product quality.
  • Ensure all aspects of food safety, legality, quality, and product authenticity are observed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • GCSEs or equivalent; HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3.
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing and supervising a team.
  • Strong knowledge of quality processes, food safety standards, and operational procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team.
