We’re on the lookout for a forward-thinking Civil Engineer to join our talented team in Motherwell, working on critical power and energy projects, including substations, grid connections, and renewables – as well as diverse, multi-sector schemes across defence, transport, and industry.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing and specifying civil engineering solutions for large-scale infrastructure projects mostly on drainage
- Producing accurate and detailed designs, drawings, and reports in line with project and regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams to deliver fully integrated, buildable designs.
- Reviewing calculations and third-party designs to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a culture of technical excellence.
✅ What We're Looking For
- A degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience in one or more sectors – power project exposure is a strong plus.
- Progressing toward Chartered or Incorporated status with ICE or IStructE.
- Solid knowledge of drainage design
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD (or similar) – especially for draughting and layout design.
- Familiarity with Eurocodes, British Standards, CDM regulations, and BIM workflows.
- Confident communicator and collaborative team player.
- Must meet eligibility criteria for security clearance.
