Job Description:

I am working with a leading global law firm to find a commercially minded Business Development Executive to join their Business Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to support a market‑leading, internationally recognised Antitrust/Competition practice and contribute to high‑impact client development initiatives across multiple jurisdictions.

The Antitrust/Competition team advises on a broad range of complex and high‑profile matters, including antitrust investigations, competition litigation, consumer protection, market inquiries, merger control, sectoral regulation and subsidy control. With specialists across Europe and Asia, the team handles some of the most significant and challenging mandates in the market.

This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail‑driven and enthusiastic about developing their BD career within a dynamic and high‑performing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive business development initiatives and support end‑to‑end targeting campaigns.
  • Lead regular BD discussions with partners and internal teams.
  • Conduct client mapping, financial analysis and competitor research to identify opportunities.
  • Draft award and directory submissions, manage referees and maintain credentials.
  • Coordinate distribution of client content, track ROI and maintain conference calendars.
  • Collaborate with Digital, Marketing and Events teams on campaigns and practice initiatives.
  • Support partners on international trips and liaise with global offices.
  • Provide full pitch support, including tailored credentials and presentations.
  • Assist with competition‑focused events, including logistics, follow‑up and reporting.
  • Contribute to internal training programmes and support secondees with BD insights.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who brings energy, professionalism and a strong sense of ownership. The ideal candidate will:

  • Be degree‑educated or have equivalent relevant experience.
  • Have previous BD/Marketing experience at assistant or executive level, ideally within a law firm.
  • Be confident engaging with senior stakeholders and building strong working relationships.
  • Demonstrate sound judgement and an understanding of commercially sensitive information.
  • Be highly organised, able to manage multiple deadlines and deliver high‑quality work under pressure.
  • Be comfortable analysing large datasets and identifying BD opportunities.
  • Bring excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Be proactive, entrepreneurial and self‑motivated.
  • Display resilience, professionalism and integrity at all times.
