Business Development Director – EMEA (Finance & Treasury Solutions)
Location: Remote (UK)
Salary: £110,000 – £140,000 + uncapped commission
Our clients are seeking an experienced, commercially driven Business Development professional to join their growing team. This is a hands-on, quota-carrying role with the opportunity to shape new revenue streams across EMEA corporates and strategically engage senior decision-makers in Finance and Treasury functions.
What the Role Involves:
- Lead outbound origination across key EMEA markets, developing a strong pipeline of opportunities with enterprise and mid‑cap corporates, and selectively with Tier 1/Tier 2 banks.
- Execute structured, multi-channel prospecting (email, phone, LinkedIn, network outreach) to identify, qualify and prioritize new opportunities aligned to revenue targets.
- Represent our clients externally through conferences, webinars, panels and industry events, building a credible and visible market presence.
- Collaborate with Marketing to support campaigns, events, content initiatives, and lead‑generation efforts, providing real-time market feedback.
- Deliver compelling pitches to senior finance stakeholders, assess fit against commercial criteria, and advance opportunities through disciplined qualification.
- Work closely with Sales Executives to transition qualified leads, support deal strategy, and contribute to stakeholder mapping and early-stage pipeline progression.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships that drive repeat engagement, cross-sell/upsell opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Maintain rigorous, data-driven pipeline management and accurate reporting within Salesforce.
What You Bring:
- 8+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Origination within:
- Working Capital solutions
- Trade Finance
- Supply Chain Finance
- Payments, Treasury, Liquidity, or adjacent FinTech sectors
- Proven success selling into enterprise and mid-cap corporates across multiple EMEA markets.
- Demonstrated ability to originate greenfield pipeline, enter new markets, or launch new propositions.
- Strong track record engaging senior stakeholders (CFO, Treasurer, Head of Treasury).
- Exposure to selling directly to Tier 1/Tier 2 banks or via bank partnerships (preferred).
- Highly developed prospecting, qualification, and opportunity origination skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to communicate complex financial solutions clearly.
- Experience operating in high-growth, fast-moving environments.
- Salesforce proficiency and strong data-driven discipline.
- Fluency in English; an additional European language is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Relevant professional certifications in Finance, Treasury, or Banking are an advantage.
