Senior Mechanical Project Manager – Tier One Main Contractor

Central London

Permanent

Up to £110,000 + Car Allowance + Travel

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to join a Tier One Main Contractor delivering a landmark large-scale development in Central London.

The Role

The Mechanical Project Manager will take full responsibility for the mechanical package from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. Working as part of a high-performing project team, they will oversee design coordination, procurement, subcontractor management, programme delivery, quality assurance, and commercial performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and coordinating all mechanical elements of the project
  • Managing subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality
  • Driving programme performance in line with project milestones
  • Overseeing technical submissions, RFIs, and design development in collaboration with consultants
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety and building regulations
  • Supporting commercial teams with cost control, valuations, and change management
  • Managing commissioning activities and ensuring successful project handover

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be a proven Senior Mechanical Project Manager with experience delivering large-scale commercial, mixed-use, or residential developments for a reputable main contractor or leading M&E contractor.

They will demonstrate:

  • A strong track record of managing high-value mechanical packages
  • Excellent technical knowledge of building services systems
  • Experience working on complex builds in Central London
  • The ability to lead teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Commercial awareness and programme management expertise
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
