This role suits a proactive housing professional who enjoys working in the community, maintaining high property standards, and building positive, professional relationships with residents and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities of a Property Inspector:Conduct regular property inspections to ensure homes meet required standardsIdentify and report maintenance issues, cleanliness concerns, and health & safety risksComplete property check-ins, check-outs, inventories, and property turnaroundsBuild positive relationships with residents and support them to maintain their accommodationInvestigate and manage reports of anti-social behaviour, implementing action plansWork collaboratively with landlords, local authorities, contractors, and internal teamsMaintain accurate records, inspection schedules, and written correspondenceEscalate safeguarding, compliance, or property concerns in line with policy
What We’d Love To See From You As A Property Inspector:
Previous experience in a housing officer, property management, or housing-related roleHands-on experience conducting property inspections, identifying maintenance issues, and monitoring property standardsExperience working directly with tenants or residents, providing clear guidance and managing expectationsWorking knowledge of health & safety requirements within residential propertiesFull UK driving licence and access to own vehicleStrong IT skills and ability to maintain accurate recordsExcellent communication and organisational skillsAbility to work independently in a field-based roleCommitment to safeguarding vulnerable young peopleHours & Benefits:Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pmBusiness mileage reimbursedPension scheme and training & development opportunitiesSalary up to £38,000Enhanced DBS check required
