This is a delivery-focused business working on complex, detail-led residential schemes – including structural alterations, cut & carve works, and high-end refurbishments — rather than volume new build or process-heavy corporate work.
Projects are typically technically challenging, often in live environments, with a strong emphasis on quality, coordination, and commercial control.
The Role
- Take full commercial ownership of residential refurbishment projects from procurement through to final account
- Manage subcontractor packages, valuations, variations, CVRs, and cost reporting
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, and Directors to protect commercial outcomes
- Involvement in structural works, heavy refurb, and live residential environments
- Support tenders and early-stage cost planning where required
What they’re looking for
- Project QS or Senior QS from a main contractor background
- Strong experience in residential refurbishment / extensions / heavy refurb
- Comfortable running your own projects with minimal hand-holding
- Commercially sharp, practical, and delivery-focused
- Someone who prefers autonomy and responsibility over rigid corporate process
