Job Purpose Summary
Responsible for developing and maintaining customer accounts with the objective of maximising revenue in line with the Company’s long and short-term strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Build and maintain a profitable customer portfolio through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods
- Develop a clear understanding of customer needs and business requirements
- Respond to and follow up on sales enquiries using appropriate methods
- Source products in line with customer requirements and Company guidelines
- Liaise with internal teams to optimise service delivery, business growth and customer satisfaction
- Resolve customer and supplier issues, including financial queries where required
- Attend and contribute to customer meetings, representing the Company in a professional manner
- Identify and report on market trends and customer activity
- Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities
- Promote the Company to prospective customers in a professional and engaging manner
- Monitor competitor activity and gather relevant market intelligence
- Maintain accurate and up to date records within the customer database
- Ensure all sales administration is completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Support account planning activities where required
- Attend industry events when appropriate
What We’re Looking For
- Confident communicator who is comfortable speaking with customers over the phone
- Positive and proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Previous sales or customer-facing experience is advantageous but not essential
