We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Junior Project Manager to support the delivery of electrical infrastructure projects (ICP / HV / LV) from initial concept through to completion and handover.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in engineering, construction, or utilities who is ready to step into a project management role and develop under experienced leadership.
You will work closely with Senior Project Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation
- Support the management of project budgets and cost tracking alongside the operations team
- Help maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved
- Coordinate engineers, designers, contractors, and stakeholders
- Monitor project risks and escalation issues when required
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Support quality assurance processes and documentation control
- Act as a point of contact for customers, providing clear and professional updates
- Maintain accurate project documentation (contracts, reports, change controls, correspondence)
- Provide occasional onsite support when required
- Contribute to post-project reviews and lessons learned
What We’re Looking For
Education
- ONC/OND, HNC/HND or Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or related field
- OR relevant industry experience within utilities / electrical infrastructure
- Working towards or keen to achieve a Project Management qualification (Prince2, APM or similar)
Experience
- Experience within electrical infrastructure, utilities, construction, or engineering environments
- Understanding of HV/LV networks or strong desire to learn
- Exposure to DNO/ICP processes (desirable but not essential)
- Experience supporting project delivery from xlqdzyr planning through to completion
- Comfortable working with budgets, schedules, and reporting
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of HV/LV infrastructure (desirable)
- Understanding of NEC3 contracts (advantageous)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiar with project management software
