Our client are a Tier 1 social housing contract with an enviable portfolio of contracts, looking to add a Divisional Commercial Manager to their Midlands Business Unit.

Description

• Full commercial leadership of a major responsive social housing contract
• Oversight of multiple workstreams, including kitchens, bathrooms, roofing, and heating
• Leading, managing, and developing the divisional commercial team
• Cost control, valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
• Accurate financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting
• Close collaboration with operational teams to support performance and margin delivery
• Subcontractor procurement, payments, and commercial compliance oversight
• Identification and mitigation of commercial risks and opportunities
• Ensuring contract adherence and best‑practice commercial governance

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor within responsive social housing
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams in a high‑volume environment
• Strong track record in leading and developing commercial teams
• Comprehensive understanding of social housing contracts and commercial frameworks
• High level of commercial and financial acumen with strong analytical skills
• Effective stakeholder management across clients, internal teams, and supply chain partners
• Willingness to travel across the West Midlands as required
