Innovation Manager – Corporate & Commercial Services – Bristol – 3+ Years PQE.Location: Bristol.Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (hybrid working available).Salary: £60,000 to £80,000 (depending on experience).

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Innovation Manager to join the Corporate & Commercial Services Division, driving outcomes focused innovation and supporting the next phase of the organisation’s innovation and AI strategy. This newly created role will suit a legally qualified professional with strong technical expertise, a process driven mindset, and the confidence to challenge traditional ways of working. Following significant investment in firmwide innovation foundations, this role will play a key part in shaping new service offerings, embedding technology solutions, and accelerating the adoption of AI tools across the Division.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for delivering innovation initiatives across the Division, including:

  • Managing and coordinating Divisional Innovation Champions, Working Groups, and Change Agent networks
  • Evaluating new ideas and opportunities, undertaking root cause analysis and detailed requirements gathering
  • Leading the end to end delivery of approved innovation projects, ensuring clear scope, momentum, and measurable outcomes
  • Monitoring progress and reporting on innovation metrics, including adoption, ROI, and case study development
  • Collaborating with Knowledge Management, Central Innovation, and Legal Engineering teams to support best practice design and implementation
  • Working closely with the Head of Legal AI to drive adoption of GenAI tools, prompting templates, workflow design, and agentic solutions
  • Partnering with IT and other business support teams to align processes, share insights, and support cross functional innovation

Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a legally qualified professional with:

  • Minimum 3 years PQE in a relevant area of legal practice (private practice or in house)
  • A proven track record of implementing innovation or continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong understanding of Generative AI capabilities and practical experience applying them
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
