Assistant Housing Officer – Cambridge
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a genuine desire to take personal responsibility in delivering excellent customer service as part of our housing team, focusing on tenancy and estate management.
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for:
- Working on your own geographical patch
- Assisting with the delivery of housing management services
- Assisting with resolving complex issues such as anti-social behaviour
- Assisting with project management and environmental improvements
- Giving support, guidance, and advice to local neighbourhood residents associations
Our ideal candidate will be able to work on their own initiative and manage a busy workload. They will join us with excellent customer service skills and have the ability to build effective relationships. It is important that they have an understanding of key safeguarding principles, as well as excellent communication, organisation and IT skills. They may already work in a housing role, or they may be working in a role within law enforcement, social services, mental health services, or even the military. Due to the nature of this position, you will need to have a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle, which is insured for business use; or be willing to cycle around the city.

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this post.
Hours: This is a full-time role, for 37 hours per week.
Working Pattern: Monday-Friday
Contract: Fixed Term – maternity leave cover
Salary: £32,597 – £36,363 per annum (City Pay Band 4), pro rata for part time.
Location: This is flexible – working in Cambridge on site or at one of our offices or working from home. You will be able to balance your work location accordingly.
