Are you an experienced Quality Manager ready to step up as the second-in-command to the Technical Manager in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment?

We’re partnering with a well-established business to recruit a Quality Manager who will help drive food safety standards, lead audits, and support a high-performing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, confident communicator to champion food safety and quality, influence site culture, and support technical excellence across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Safety & Quality Leadership

  • Champion a strong food safety and quality culture across the site
  • Ensure compliance with BRC and customer standards
  • Track, report, and improve key quality and food safety KPIs

Audit & Technical Support

  • Lead customer and third-party audits to deliver strong outcomes
  • Support the Technical Manager in delivering site technical strategy
  • Lead investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Act as a key member of the HACCP team and support food defence requirements

Team Leadership

  • Coach, guide, and develop the Quality team
  • Set clear objectives, recognise strong performance, and manage issues professionally
  • Support succession planning and team development

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement improvements across quality, safety, and operational standards
  • Use data to guide decision-making and performance improvements
  • Support wider site initiatives and technical projects

Essential Criteria

  • Experience in a Quality or Technical role within food manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of BRC and food safety standards
  • Experience leading audits
  • A confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Ambitious and motivated, with a passion for food safety and quality culture
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Degree in Food Science, Food Safety, or related discipline
  • HACCP Level 4

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in chilled and/or high-risk environments
  • Knowledge of TACCP and food authenticity
  • Experience with structured problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D)
