Job Description

We are partnering with a highly regarded global investment management firm seeking to hire an Investment Strategist to join their London-based Investment Management team.

This is a high-profile, externally oriented role at the intersection of investment strategy, macro research, and client engagement. It is ideally suited to someone with a strong client-facing background who enjoys shaping market views and communicating them to sophisticated investors.

The Role

As an Investment Strategist, you will play a key role in developing and delivering macroeconomic, geopolitical, and portfolio strategy insights that inform asset allocation decisions and enhance client engagement.

You will work closely with portfolio managers and investment teams while acting as a credible and trusted representative of the firm in client interactions, presentations, and market discussions. The role offers significant exposure to clients and includes regular travel for meetings, roadshows, and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key representative of the investment team in client meetings, portfolio reviews, and roadshows
  • Deliver clear, compelling market updates, strategy presentations, and portfolio positioning insights to clients
  • Build strong relationships with clients and support ongoing investment dialogue
  • Conduct analysis of global macroeconomic trends, market dynamics, and geopolitical developments
  • Contribute to Strategic & Tactical Asset Allocation (SAA/TAA) discussions and portfolio positioning
  • Produce high-quality investment commentary, market outlooks, and thought leadership
  • Partner closely with portfolio managers, research, and distribution teams to develop client-focused investment content
  • Support the effective communication of the firm’s investment views to both clients and internal stakeholders

Ideal Candidate

  • 7+ years’ experience in investment strategy, macro research, multi-asset investing, or client portfolio management, with a clear client-facing component
  • Strong understanding of macroeconomics, asset allocation, financial markets, and portfolio construction
  • Proven ability to engage with clients and communicate complex investment ideas in a clear, compelling way
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, with commercial awareness
  • CFA (preferred) or equivalent investment qualification
  • Spanish language skills are advantageous

This role would suit someone who combines strong investment expertise with a genuine interest in client engagement and relationship management, and who is comfortable in a visible, externally facing position.

Due to the high volume of applications, we will only respond to candidates whose experience closely matches the criteria.

We are committed to ensuring a fair and inclusive recruitment process. If there is anything we can do to make the process more accessible, please let us know.
